Materials, Design & Other Characteristics :

DHK 's ARC100B (ballistic) suit is manufactured with a speciallayering system with a fiber content of 76% aramid, 19% melamine & 5% polybenzimidazole. Fabric system weight is 27.2 oz/yd². All materials used in the construction of the garment are inherently flame resistant. The knit cuffs, zippers tape, threads and Velcro®are made of Nomex®. The hood window is manufactured with a mix of polycarbonate and Oberon’s proprietary ArcX™ energy absorbing material. This high-tech material allows a superior visible light transmission of 28%. The outer surface of the shield comes with DHK 's proprietary material Silicote™-1 scratch resistant coating (up to 10 times longer product life) and the inner surface has a permanent antifog coating. The textile has an arc rating (ATPV) of 112 cal/cm². DHK 's Arc 100B suit provides the highest level of protection in the market. DHK 's broke new ground by developing the only arc flash suit in the world with ballistic properties. This achievement is part of DHK 's ongoing research and development for a safer workplace with high-tech materials.

Use: DHK’s ARC100B suit is designed to provide protection from arc flash heat exposures. According to NFPA 70E Hazard Risk Category (HRC) levels, this garment significantly exceeds the HRC4 requirement of 40 cal/cm 2 .Be aware that the arc rating (ATPV) given to fabrics and faceshields is based on the results of sufficient heat transfer through the FR fabrics and faceshields to indicate a 50%probability of a second-degree burn based on the Stoll curve.
Consult the ARC100B label or the Oberon Burn Injury Reduction Guide (BIRG) for reduced probability of a burn injury. Always perform a hazard analysis and use higher protection than the hazard you are facing.

Cleaning Instructions & Maintenance: All garments should be free of contaminants. Flammable contaminants can reduce protection level. Always keep hood window clean for the best vision. The faceshield can be cleaned with water and mild soap. Garments can be machine washed with detergent and tumble-dried. DHK’s inherently flame resistant garments will not lose the flame resistant properties of the fabrics due to laundering of the garment.
