Materials, Design & Other Characteristics
:
DHK's ARC100 suit is manufactured with a special layering
system, with a fiber content of 61% meta-aramid, 23% PFR Rayon
& 16% para-aramid. Fabric system weight is 24.5 oz/yd².
All the materials used in the construction of these garments
are inherently flame resistant. The knit cuffs, zippers tape,
threads and Velcro are made of Nomex ® . The hood window
is manufactured with a mix of polycarbonate and Oberon’s
proprietary ArcX™ energy absorbing material. This high-tech
material allows a visible light transmission of an amazing
28%. The outer surface of the shield comes with DHK's proprietary
material Silicote™-1 scratch resistant coating (up to
five times longer product life) and the inner surface has
a permanent antifog coating. The textile has an arc rating
(ATPV) of 103 cal/cm² and the hood has an arc rating
(ATPV) of 108 cal/cm². DHK's ARC100 suit provides one
of the two highest levels of protection in the market (ARC100B
is the other). This accomplishment is part of DHK's ongoing
research and development for a safer workplace using high-tech
materials. |
