Materials, Design & Other Characteristics :

DHK's ARC25 suit is manufactured using a special  layering system, with a fiber content of 80% aramid and 20% melamine. Fabric system weight is 10 oz/yd². All materials used in the construction of this garment are inherently flame resistant. The knit cuffs, zippers tape, threads and Velcro ® are made of Nomex ® . The hood window is manufactured with a mix of polycarbonate and DHK's proprietary ArcX™ energy absorbing material. This high-tech material allows a superior visible light transmission of an amazing 49%. The outer surface of the shield comes with DHK's proprietary material Silicote™-1 scratch resistant coating (up to five times longer product life) and the inner surface has a permanent antifog coating. The fabric system has an arc rating (ATPV) of 29 cal/cm² and the hood has an arc rating (ATPV) of 32 cal/cm². DHK's ARC25 suit is the lightest weight garment on the market at this protection level. This accomplishment is part of Oberon's ongoing research and development for a safer workplace with high-tech materials.

Use: DHK’s ARC25 suit is designed to provide protection from arc flash heat exposures. According to NFPA 70E Hazard Risk Category (HRC) levels, this garment exceeds the HRC3 required minimum of 25 cal/cm². Be aware that the arc rating (ATPV) given to fabrics and faceshields is based on the results of sufficient heat transfer through the FR fabrics and faceshields to indicate a 50% probability of a second-degree burn based on the Stoll curve.Consult the ARC25 label or the DHK Burn Injury Reduction Guide (BIRG) for reduced probability of a burn injury. Always perform a hazard analysis and use higher protection
than the hazard you are facing.

Cleaning Instructions & Maintenance: All garments should be free ofcontaminants. Flammable contaminants can reduce protection level. Always keep hood window clean for the best vision. The faceshield can be cleaned with water and mild soap.Garments can be machine washed with detergent and tumble-dried. DHK’s inherentlyflame resistant garments will not lose the flame resistant properties of the fabrics due to laundering of the garment.
