DHK's ARC40 suit is manufactured with a special layering system,
with a fiber content of 82% aramid, and 18% melamine. Fabric
system weight is 12.1 oz/yd². All the materials used
in the construction ofthis suit are inherently flame resistant.
The knit cuffs, zippers tape,threads and Velcro ® are
made of Nomex ® . The hood window is manufactured with
a mix of polycarbonate and DHK's proprietary ArcX™ energy
absorbing material. This high-tech material allows a visible
light transmission of an amazing 48%. The outer surface of
the shield comes with DHK's proprietary material Silicote™-1
scratch resistant coating (up to five times longer product
life) and the inner surface has a permanent anti-fog coating.
The fabric system has an arc rating (ATPV) of 43 cal/cm²
and the hood has an arc rating (ATPV) of 49 cal/cm².
DHK's ARC40 suit is the lightest weight garment in the market
at this protection level. This accomplishment is part of Oberon's
ongoing research and development for a safer workplace using
high-tech materials. |
