DHK's ARC65 suit is manufactured with a special layering system,
with a fiber content of 80% aramid, and 20% melamine. Fabric
system weight is 15.5 oz/yd². All materials used in the
construction of this suit are inherently flame resistant.
The knit cuffs, zippers tape, threads and Velcro ® are
made of Nomex ® . The hood window is manufactured with
a mix of polycarbonate and DHK's proprietary ArcX™ energy
absorbing material. This high-tech material allows a visible
light transmission of an amazing 37%. The outer surface of
the shield comes with Oberon’s proprietary material
Silicote™-1 scratch resistant coating (up to five times
longer product life) and the inner surface has a permanent
anti-fog coating. The fabric system has an arc rating (ATPV)
of 70 cal/cm² and the hood has an arc rating (ATPV) of
97 cal/cm². DHK's ARC65 suit is the lightest weight garment
in the market at this protection level. Thisaccomplishment
is part of DHK's ongoing research and development for a safer
workplace using high-tech materials. |
