Materials, Design & Other Characteristics :

DHK's ARC65 suit is manufactured with a special layering system, with a fiber content of 80% aramid, and 20% melamine. Fabric system weight is 15.5 oz/yd². All materials used in the construction of this suit are inherently flame resistant. The knit cuffs, zippers tape, threads and Velcro ® are made of Nomex ® . The hood window is manufactured with a mix of polycarbonate and DHK's proprietary ArcX™ energy absorbing material. This high-tech material allows a visible light transmission of an amazing 37%. The outer surface of the shield comes with Oberon’s proprietary material Silicote™-1 scratch resistant coating (up to five times longer product life) and the inner surface has a permanent anti-fog coating. The fabric system has an arc rating (ATPV) of 70 cal/cm² and the hood has an arc rating (ATPV) of 97 cal/cm². DHK's ARC65 suit is the lightest weight garment in the market at this protection level. Thisaccomplishment is part of DHK's ongoing research and development for a safer workplace using high-tech materials.

Use: DHK’s ARC65 suit is designed to provide protection from arc flash heat exposures. According to NFPA 70E Hazard Risk Category (HRC) levels, this garment significantly exceeds the HRC4 required minimum of 40 cal/cm². Be aware that the arc rating (ATPV) given to fabrics and faceshields is based on the results of sufficient heat transfer through the FR fabrics and faceshields to indicate a 50% probability of a second-degree burn based on the Stoll curve. Consult the ARC65 label or the Oberon Burn Injury Reduction Guide (BIRG) for reduced probability of a burn injury. Always perform a hazard analysis and use higher protection than the hazard you are facing.

Cleaning Instructions & Maintenance: All garments should be free of contaminants. Flammable contaminants can reduce protection level. Always keep hood window clean for the best vision. The faceshield can be cleaned with water and mild soap.Garments can be machine washed with detergent and tumble-dried. DHK’s inherently flame resistant garments will not lose the flame resistant properties of the fabrics due to laundering of the garment.
